Customer Rating: Summary: Love this heater! Comment: Love this heater so much I bought two. One for my bedroom and one for my living area. It is small, light, and doesn't get hot to the touch. Some say a downside is that it doesn't blow/spread the heat around. I don't have that issues because I have ceiling fans through out my house. Customer Rating: Summary: solid performance Comment: This little heater is inexpensive but ideal for my purpose -- keeping pipes from freezing in unheated outbuildings -- when powered through a Thermo Cube Thermo Cube TC-3. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent little beast Comment: What a great product.
Easitly heats up my room. And not too noisy to boot., Customer Rating: Summary: great buy for the value Comment: Have been using this for a week now. Got it to warm up my studio apartment which is large for NY size, and whose heating unit barely warms up. I needed something that would supplement it. This one works just great. It warms up the surrounding in no time. The hum that several reviewers have mentioned is there, but is not loud (the sound is similar to when you have a fan on). It is light and portable so its easy to move around the room. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent product at great price Comment: Couldn't ask for more. An excellent product in compact size and provides the necessary heating. The body might seem made of flimsy plastic at first but it is quite robust and does the job perfectly.
A single unit probably covers about 200-300sq ft of floor space. Go for it. You wont go wrong.
My only concern was around the amount of power this seems to draw. I live in a 50 yr old Manhattan building and the power outlet gets terribly hot even at the low power setting. I run the a/c during summers from the same outlet without any issues so I think this unit needs some good electrical wiring in the house.
