Summary: It's pretty good
Comment: I've always shaved with electric, so all my comparisons are based off my previous electric shaver. I can't recall what model my old shaver was, but it was a lift-and-cut type shaver. I had two issues with that shaver - if I let my beard grow at all, lift-and-cut became rip-and-cut (a very painful shave) and also the trimmer stopped working. The Braun 1775 does not have these problems. It is a very comfortable shave and the trimmer works quite well. What I don't like about this shaver, however, is that if I do let my beard grow at all, the foil will not catch the hairs. Indeed, I will be halfway through my day as I'm sitting at my desk when I realize that I have three obnoxious hairs sticking out of my chin. Moreover, this shaver does a worse job around the corners of the face - the Adam's apple and the back of the jaw - than my previous shaver. Neither of these problems make me regret buying the shaver though. If I take my time and feel carefully for rogue hairs, particularly around the throat and back of the jaw, I can eventually get them all without too much trouble; it just takes time. I suppose, if I find some ultra futuristic nanotube space shaver that shaves using the power of the moon, I'll regret buying this shaver. But, given what's on the market now, I feel it's a solid buy.

Comment: the electric razor not only recharges very quickly. it has a lot of juice and you can wash it under the sink water..however, i just use the brush that comes along with it.
