Summary: Finally something that REALLY works!
Comment: I bought this trap to get rid of mice around my outdoor aviary. I was a bit skeptical because I've heard that if you don't remove the original food source then you are less likely to catch any mice in any trap. Since it is impossible to remove the food source (bird seed) from the aviary there weren't many choices to kill mice. Any type of poison was not an option. I don't like glue boards or the old style trigger traps because both seem too cruel to me. I wanted something that would safely and quickly kill the mouse so it didn't have to go through any undo agony. So, I bought one of these and thought I'd give it a try. The first three nights - nothing. But I stuck with it and on the fourth night I had a mouse in the trap. I've had one in there every night for an entire week now. Needless to say it works GREAT! I went out to Lowes and purchased four more of these and use them around the aviary and near my outdoor bird feeders. The trick to this seems to be using peanut butter as the bait. Make sure it is spread very thinly on the back wall. I use a toothpick to spread it on there. The peanut butter lures them in and because there isn't too much for them to bite off and run away, they actually have to get all the way into the trap to get anything. The other thing that helps is to put it in a known location that a mouse travels. Along the walls and in corners seems to work best for me. I can honestly say I've been pleasantly surprised with the results of this product. I will never use any other type of trap again. Oh, and one more thing. You don't ever have to touch a mouse to remove it from the trap. Just flip open the little door, dispose of the critter, replace and reset the trap. That is all there is to it. Fantastic product!

Summary: Heard the mouse sunday, saw the mouse monday, found the dead mouse wednesday
Comment: Set this trap behind the oven in a 3rd floor apartment above a sushi restaurant. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the back wall. Found the dead mouse today. However, the green light wasn't on; I just happened to open the trap.

I'm happy this trap worked!

Summary: Great mouse trap. The only one that worked for me.
Comment: I first realized that I had mice when my cat was acting funny and returned to my bedroom with a live mouse in his mouth.

The mouse trap does an excellent job. The bait has never been stolen. I tried about 4 or 5 different less expensive mouse traps and the mice would always get away with the bait. Sometimes the trap would still be set and others the trap would not be set. I thought they were going to win but they did not.
I ended up catching around 7 mice with the electronic mouse trap. The mouse trap only works great if you also do a good job. You need to check the trap very often. You also need to make sure that you put the trap in a place that mice visit often. I set up a bunch of cheap traps all over the place. If the bait was stolen I moved my vitor electronic mouse trap to the location.

I thought I caught all the mice so I was not checking the trap on a daily basis. Well the mouse started to decay in the mouse trap. So that mouse trap was ruined. The next mouse trap was ruined when it got wet. So you need to make sure that it is protected from water.

Good luck!

Summary: The only thing that worked!!
Comment: Fortunately for us we caught our mouse problems early-- but within 12 hours we caught 2 mice. We had had sticky AND snap traps out in the EXACT same places for 3 days.

After putting in batteries it wouldn't start up. I tried several sets and NONE would work. Out of frustration I slammed the thing down on the counter and buzzzzzzz, we were in business. Disposal was easy-- you don't even have to look at the mouse to do it. See the flashing light, loosen the hinge, turn your head and dump into the garbage.

Highly reccommend. Very effective!!

Summary: Excellent
Comment: I had an infestation and the glue traps were able to bring it way down, but could not eliminate them. But now I got this and it is doing a great job of finishing them off. Just add a little peanut butter, and dispose of bodies.
